Turn the material into a routine

A realistic Danish Citizenship Test study plan

The plan prepares you for both passing rules: 36/45 correct answers overall and at least 4/5 correct answers about Danish values. Adjust the number of weeks to your schedule, but keep the order.

Weeks 1–2: Understand the scope

Read the first parts of the official material without trying to remember every detail. Note dates, institutions, and terms that you cannot explain in your own words.

  • Take the short test before you start.
  • Read the history and democracy chapters.
  • List your weakest topics.

Weeks 3–5: Cover all the material

Continue with the economy, the wider world, culture, and theme chapters. Answer short questions after each reading block. Use the audio version when you cannot read.

  • Follow broad Danish news several times a week.
  • Review mistakes after 1, 3, and 7 days.
  • Practise Danish values as a separate requirement.

Weeks 6–8: Practise the test

Take full practice tests with 45 questions in 45 minutes. Record your overall score and your score for the Danish values questions.

  • Check every mistake against a source.
  • Use the next session for your weakest topic.
  • Aim to meet 36/45 correct answers overall and at least 4/5 correct answers about Danish values consistently, not only once.
