Privacy policy
This page explains what information Nyborger uses, why we use it, and what choices you have.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Nyborger app, nyborger.dk, and messages you send to our support team.
Nyborger is the controller for the processing described here. Contact us at support@nyborger.dk. Nyborger is a private study tool, not a public authority.
2. Information we process
- Account details, such as your email address and profile name.
- Your app choices, goals, practice answers, results, and progress.
- Your subscription status. Apple or Google processes the payment itself.
- Reminder settings and the technical information needed to send them.
- Error reports, device type, app version, and usage statistics when permitted.
- Your name, email address, and message if you contact us.
3. Why we use this information
We use account, progress, and subscription information to perform our agreement with you. Security, support, and limited product improvement rely on our legitimate interests. Optional analytics and advertising measurement rely on consent. We also process information when the law requires it.
- To create your account and save your progress.
- To show your subscription and provide the features you bought.
- To send reminders that you chose to enable.
- To answer questions, fix errors, and improve Nyborger.
- To protect the service from misuse and meet legal duties.
4. Analytics and cookies
On the website, we only load optional analytics from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Vercel if you agree. We use them to measure visits, clicks, page views, app-store links, and broad results from the free tests. We do not send your individual test answers.
Nyborger works without analytics. We save your choice on your device so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
In the app, analytics and error reports can help us understand errors and feature use. You can change relevant permissions in the app or on your device.
5. Services we use
We use service providers for specific technical tasks. They may only process information under our instructions or under their own terms when they act as an independent controller.
- Supabase for sign-in, databases, file storage, and server functions.
- RevenueCat for subscription status, and Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and payments.
- Sentry for error reports and Amplitude for app analytics.
- Vercel for web hosting and web analytics, and Google Analytics and Google Ads after consent.
- Formspark for messages from the contact form.
- Apple and Google for notifications that you choose to receive.
6. Retention and transfers
We keep information only as long as needed for its purpose, our agreement with you, or a legal duty. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise account data unless we must keep some information longer.
Some providers process information outside the EU and EEA. In these cases, we use a transfer method required by the GDPR, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your information. You can also object or withdraw consent. Some rights depend on why we process the information.
Contact us at support@nyborger.dk. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
8. Security and changes
We use suitable technical and organisational security measures. No online service can promise complete security.
If we change this policy, we update the date on this page. For important changes, we will give notice in the app, on the website, or by email when appropriate.
