New Danish heat record: 37.0 degrees
On 27 June 2026, 37.0 degrees Celsius was measured in Ødum north of Aarhus and in Beldringe north of Odense. This is the highest temperature measured in Denmark since measurements began in 1874. The previous record was 36.4 degrees from 1975.

Economic agreement with the municipalities for 2027

Crown Prince Christian became a second lieutenant

Celebration of Queen Margrethe II's Bridge
On 6 June 2026, the new bridge over Storstrømmen, Queen Margrethe II's Bridge (Dronning Margrethe II's Bro), was celebrated. The bridge links Zealand and Falster via Masnedø. Crown Prince Christian took part on behalf of Queen Margrethe and was the last car to drive across the old Storstrøm Bridge from 1937.

New government: the Mette Frederiksen III government
